Your Worry Generator
Most of the time our worries are unproductive. We worry about possible bad scenario’s that eventually might happen, when in reality that scenario isn’t even real. Worrying is a defense we automatically use to feel we are in control, but if it interferes with the way you wish to live your life, it’s highly unproductive. Moreover, it can affect your wellbeing and health.
Worrying can become a continuous process in your mind, influencing how you approach
and interact with your outer world. Unfortunately, you can become used to all the
worries, “buts” and “what ifs” twirling around in your mind-
One of the first things to learn how to stop worrying is to become aware of your
worries. Whenever you catch “a worry” (and believe me that’s not so easy as it looks)
make a mark, for example in your notebook or on a piece of paper. Try this for a
week and you will see, how much you worry-
